With more than 15 years of experience in commercial underwriting and risk management, Sid brings a rare blend of technical expertise, analytical precision, and broker-focused insight to our growing team.
Sid’s career spans both Canadian and international property and casualty (P&C) insurance markets, where he has developed customized coverage strategies for complex and non-standard commercial risks. He holds several respected professional designations including CIP, CRM, CRIS, and ACS, and is currently pursuing his FCIP designation.
His underwriting expertise includes construction, manufacturing, energy, and specialty commercial sectors, where he focuses on delivering customized, data-driven insurance solutions that balance precision with practicality.
Before joining Approved Casualty and Surety, Sid held underwriting roles with Federated Insurance (a member of the Northbridge group), South Western Insurance Group, and HD Mutual Insurance, earning recognition for his responsiveness and collaborative approach with brokers.
Beyond his insurance credentials, Sid holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and is a licensed electrician, giving him a technical edge in assessing operational and construction-related exposures. Fluent in English and Persian, he approaches every client relationship with curiosity, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous learning.
